We are an equal opportunity collective.
We value, respect and celebrate the unique attributes, characteristics and views that make each individual person who they are. We also believe that bringing diverse individuals together allows us to collectively and more effectively address the issues that face our communities. It is our aim that our partners, strategies and investments reflect these core values. Mod Life Collection will always strive to be a model of diversity and inclusion.
Prior to Mod Life, Robert Petril spent more than 20 years in various positions in the furniture industry. He started as an upholsterer in a North Carolina factory, moved on to retail sales in Philadelphia and landed several 'rep' jobs including one for Natuzzi Italia. He traveled the world in VP positions, living in China and Italy, and helped sales growth of a well-known furniture company rise from two million to 20 million dollars over two years. Knowing his passion was rooted more in design than sales, Petril took off the tie and went out on his own as a freelance designer. As the head of Mod Life, he brings upholstery design know-how, industry relations/experience, internationally lauded furniture designs, and collaborative concept of incorporating and celebrating other international designers within the Mod Life brand.
We are grateful to have a team of talented, international designers contributing to Mod Life Collection.....

In keeping with Robert Petril's assertion that good design IS art, Robert recruited the talents for artist/graphic designer Skip Freas to collaborate on the fabric and art designs. Skip is a fine art graphic artist whose works can be seen throughout the Midwest and in various online collections. Known for strong graphic elements to his art work and fluid artistic themes to his graphic work. Skip's versatility has enabled him to transfer Robert's visions into Modern classic designs that adhere to the primary rule of design that "form ever follows function" while making certain that art remains the primary focus of the Mod Life Collection. Skip's prints can be viewed at Skip Freas - Artist.
